This is the first x-ray image I produced. A garage door opener is used to turn on the filament heater and the high voltage suppy. Then the camera is triggered remotely with a shutter speed of 1 or 2 seconds. Small tubes are not meant for longer operation. It’s best to only turn them on briefly in order to maximize their lifespan. Unfortunately on the next try I increased the input voltage of the transformer to 20 V and this led to a flashover. I couldn’t see where it happened but it seems all diodes (2CL2FP) in the voltage multiplier are dead.
