Hidasuki firing experiment follow up

Three ‘hidasuki’ pots and three normal pots from the last firing. The bamboo certainly does something to the pots when fired in a saggar. Unfortunately the saggar cracked during the firing despite being made from very refractory clay. Also the colors didn’t come out reddish like the typical Japanese hidasuki ware. The reduction might have been too heavy. Next time I might use less bamboo and maybe the crack in the saggar will prevent a too heavy reduction of the pots. Still they look somewhat interesting.
